Creating new neural pathways, one movement at a time
Creating new neural pathways, one movement at a time
At Threefold Movement, each child is met as an individual—with respect for their unique timing, strengths, and needs. Movement is the foundation of all learning, and when a child struggles—whether with focus, emotions, coordination, or academics—those challenges often have roots in the body.
Vasilica gently observes how a child moves, plays, listens, responds, and processes the world around them. From there, she creates a personalized program that draws on a range of developmental approaches—all focused on building the neurological and sensory foundations for growth.
Below are some of the tools and methods she weaves into her work:
Reflex Integration
Before we ever learn to walk or speak, our bodies are guided by a deep, internal intelligence. Babies turn toward voices, root for nourishment, grasp with intention, and kick with delight. These early, instinctive movements are the building blocks of healthy brain and body development. Reflex integration helps reawaken and strengthen these patterns in children whose development may have skipped or weakened them—providing a second chance for the brain and body to connect more fully.
Brain Gym®
Simple, intentional movement can powerfully support learning, attention, and emotional balance. Brain Gym exercises help children cross the midline, integrate left and right brain functions, and develop greater ease in reading, writing, and focus.
HANDLE® (The Holistic Approach to NeuroDevelopment and Learning Efficiency)
HANDLE works with the understanding that how we move shapes how we think. By supporting the body’s natural organization and sensory-motor systems, HANDLE helps children improve how they process information and respond to their environment—with greater calm, clarity, and confidence.
The Extra Lesson®
Based on insights from Waldorf education and modern developmental research, The Extra Lesson supports children by strengthening the foundations for thinking, feeling, and willing—especially those formed in the first seven years of life.
This approach works through movement, coordination, balance, drawing, rhythmic speech, and painting to help children develop:
• Spatial orientation
• Body awareness
• Sensory integration
When these areas are strengthened, children often experience improved self-regulation, confidence, and learning ability. The Extra Lesson approach is especially supportive for children with challenges such as ADHD, sensory processing differences, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and developmental delays. Each program is individualized and unfolds gently over time.
A Holistic Approach to Growth
Rather than focusing only on surface behaviors or academic gaps, Threefold Movement seeks to nourish the deeper systems that support healthy development. These methods are not treatments—they are invitations. Invitations to reconnect with the body’s wisdom, to feel more at home in oneself, and to move into learning and life with greater ease.
